Vice President, National Training
Melanie O’Brien, Vice President of National Training, oversees the development and implementation of training throughout the company. Ms. O’Brien started with GID in 1993 as a Marketing Representative. She was quickly promoted to Property Manager, Senior Property Manager, Divisional Manager and was asked to start up the company’s internal training program, Windsor Academy, in 2000. Windsor Academy has over 100 offerings that include standardization, procedures, employee motivation, retention, sales and customer service. Ms. O’Brien graduated from Bryant University with a degree in Marketing and Psychology. She serves as a member of the Rental Housing Association Education Committee and has taught for the National Apartment Association. Ms. O’Brien has been a speaker for the National Multifamily Housing Council and other industry events.
